An excited crowd of inductees, alumni and well wishers packed the house at the 6th annual Hall of Fame awards banquet. The event was held Friday May 3, 2019 at the Shadelands Art Center where seven athletes, three teams and two coaches were inducted into the CVHS Athletic Hall of Fame. The event was hosted by Herc Pardi who was supported by the HOF committee members and community supporters. One by one, inductees were introduced by their personal presenters that was followed by an acceptance speech by all inductees. This years athlete inductees were: Gary Logsdon ’65, Bruce Kopitar ’77, Warren Turnage ’78, Benson Jones ’98, Natalie Nelson ’00, Katie Webber Caderao ’00 and Lindsay Nelson ’03. George Smylie was inducted in the coaches group and Pat Middendorf in the community service area. In addition three teams were also inducted – the 1978 Wrestling Team, 1979 Girls Volleyball Team and the 1999 Boys Swimming Team. The next inductee ceremony will take place in the Spring of 2021 with a new crop of HOF members.
